Eclipse is looking for an ambitious, inspirational and visionary Artistic Director/CEO. You will be both an artistic leader and accountable for the overall success of the company. This means with support from a dynamic and diverse board of trustees you will set the artistic vision for the organisation and provide solid artistic leadership to a small but dedicated team.

Building on the huge success and extraordinary growth of recent years, as Artistic Director/CEO you will lead us into the next chapter of the company’s exciting future. With the Executive Producer, you form the executive team and report individually and jointly to the Board. As Artistic Director, you will work in partnership with the Executive Producer to strategically and operationally lead the organisation. 

We are completely interested in usual suspects, non-usual suspects and wild cards. We do know what we want though. We want a dynamic, inspired and organised change-maker; someone with solid artistic instincts, excellent networks, and a personal ease with artists, partners and the public. You might come from a directing, writing or producing background, whatever your foundations we are looking for drive, ambition and a keen understanding of the role Eclipse currently plays and can continue to play in the coming years.

This role is all about bringing energetic leadership, experience, artistic know-how, we want you to hit the ground running and re-fresh and re-launch a compelling vision for the next 10 years of Eclipse.

An innovative thinker, you will have experience in leading people and strategic awareness at a senior level. We expect a track record of making work combined with an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial approach to new opportunities.

Eclipse is looking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and experienced Executive Producer. During a period of real growth and success for Eclipse, this pivotal new role will support our Artistic Director in setting the strategic direction of the company.

The successful candidate will be an innovative leader working within the arts or creative industries, who cares about Black culture, artists and making ambitious new work. Passionate about making change to the cultural landscape, the Executive Producer will support the work on tour (Exec producing, tour booking and managing logistics) you will also build and hold key venue and co-producing partnerships and lead on delivering our ambitious aims and objectives. With the Artistic Director you form the executive team and report individually and jointly to the Board. As Executive Producer you will strategically and operationally lead the organisation – the future organisational culture and team work ethic will be created or at least heavily influenced by you.

You see the big picture and you are able to lead the organisation through all the necessary steps to achieve our ambitious goals and bold ideas. You are a highly skilled negotiator and an entrepreneurial producer who can inspire while line-producing and you have the ability to make artistic projects to come to life. You enjoy making things happen.

We want an organised, strategic thinker and methodical planner. Someone with excellent systems, process driven instincts, strong networks and a personal ease with team members and other stakeholders.
