In a country where Northern British Asian voices can often be ignored in favour of the South and London, how does heritage, gender and place influence their work? What are the challenges they face? For those who may have been priced out of the South, what opportunities can be made and found in the rich cultural landscape of the North? These are just some of the questions that will be asked in this timely panel discussion featuring talented British Asian Women, all from or based in the North.

Chaired by writer, poet and Slate Enabler Afshan D’souza-Lodhi the panel includes Transmedia writer and poet Maya Chowdhry, playwright Shabina Aslam and spoken-word poet Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan.
