Slate Social: Hull - Fri 10 May

Slate Social + Show as part of Hull Truck Theatre’s ‘Grow’ Season
Fri 10 May
Hull Truck Theatre - Lower Foyer

Grow is Hull Truck Theatre’s artist development programme for artists at any age or stage in their career, offering an extensive range of opportunities and events from 7 May 2019. It exists to provide branches of opportunities and strong roots to support exciting new performances.

The next Hull Slate Social takes place as part of the Grow programme and also offers the chance to see the production Can I Touch Your Hair by Lekhani Chirwa.

Slate Social is a place to meet other artists of colour. Whatever art form you're working in, whether you're starting out or an old hand, this space is for you!

Slate Enabler, Charlotte Bowen will also be on hand to let you know about the latest opportunities from Slate.

There is no need to book in advance, just turn up.

Lekhani Chirwa’s Can I Touch Your Hair
Hull Truck Studio
A bold yet humorous piece, this is an exploration of what cultural appropriation really means, the struggle of having Afro hair, but more importantly, the pride.
