Slate World: House Party, Wed 1 Jul

An evening of music, conversations, performances and film to celebrate the last two months of virtual gatherings and masterclasses delivered by the Slate World team for Black Artists, and fellow artists who are also marginalised for their race, across Europe.

On 1 July, we commemorate the abolition of slavery in Suriname and the Netherlands Antilles (1 July, 1863). We also mark the resistance movements of Black people and people of colour around the world.

Led by Eclipse Theatre with partners Theater De Meervaart, ICK Amsterdam and Teatro GRIOT, the two-year programme will open-up new potentials in programming, audience development, digitisation and cultural exchange. We are now in our final year.
