Three Sisters - 2006
by Anton Chekhov
A new version by Mustapha Matura
The West Indies, 1941. Three sisters live a privileged life with their unworldly brother and his domineering, working class wife. Filling their days with empty marriages and indiscreet liaisons, they yearn instead to return to faraway Cambridge, where they spent their cosmopolitan youth. But their ambitions crumble as the Second World War escalates and the army is called across the ocean to serve King, Country and Empire.
